Bunnny Log I

Bunny has been doing much better at home alone lately!

Walking her for an hour and feeding her when I leave has seemed to help a lot. I think associating me leaving with food is the key (because she's big and greedy).

Yesterday, I got her a new toy and a buffalo horn to chew on. She's been loving those a lot. In fact, she likes the chicken toy so much that she will sometimes choose it over her Lambchop, which is unprecedented for her.

I also got her a light up collar for night/early morning walks. I'm very excited for that! Though I think the hour long walks are sufficient, she loves being active so perhaps night walks in addition to morning walks will keep her mind and body stimulated.

Today, we took Bunny on a lovely trail. She is usually a bit reactive; she gets a bit too excited about people and other dogs. However, she was amazing today! She didn't try and sniff any people and was very respectful of other dogs' space. We walked her for a little over a mile today, which is pretty typical for her.

After the trail, my partner and I went to our new favorite bakery. She was getting compliments left and right and even got pet by a few strangers which really made her happy. In addition to that, one of the baristas came out and gave her a pup cup! She quite literally licked up every last drop. The barista said to bring her back any time which made me feel welcomed and excited to return!

Because she was so pooped, Bunny did wonderful at home again! I came home from work and she was just laying on the couch. Eventually, I want to walk her for a tiny bit longer (at an hour a day right now) but this timing plus medication seems to work well for her and her anxiety.
